Dissection Hall with a capacity to accommodate 150 students and 10 Cadavers
Museum with 2000 mounted specimens, clay/plastic models, charts, bones and skeleton aid learning. The museum displays dissected human body parts, along with models of human body. The students also get acquainted with the developmental details of prenatal life.
Demonstration Room where a radiology lobby is setup with CT, MRI and X Ray images for applied radiological anatomy
Embryology Lab where models and animated videos are provided
Histological Lab is equipped with a strong infrastructural setup with 100 microscopes and other equipment that helps students comprehend the microscopic structure of human organs and the organization of tissues.

Physiology

Physiology is the science that describes the nature of life. It teaches about how our bodies work, how we are born, how we grow and what happens when we die. Our dedicated faculty guides the aspiring students in the area of body science with excellent teaching resources. Along with theoretical knowledge, students are also exposed to practical training and pre-clinical knowledge instruction.

Biochemistry

The department of Biochemistry studies the chemical basis of various biological processes. As the techniques of dealing with diseases at the molecular level are rapidly changing, the field requires students who are prepared to use new tools and approaches to address problems diligently.

Biochemistry fundamentals and their health implications are explained by theoretical lectures and practical classes. Round-the-clock diagnostic services are also provided by the department to the hospital. Research being of core importance, the Department of Pathology has research laboratory that allows students to perform clinical research. The laboratory is equipped with all the facilities for conducting various research programs. The department provides diagnostic support to all the clinical departments. The diagnostic wing has sophisticated equipment including automated cell counter & tissue processor, fluorescent microscope with digital photo-micrographic attachment, cryostat, leica microtomes and advanced bright field research microscopes. It also includes four sub-sections that include Histopathology, Haematology, Cytology and Clinical Pathology.

Forensic Medicine & Toxicology

The Department of Forensic Medicine is involved in diverse activities of building investigative capabilities in students.

Student’s investigative capabilities of the modern medicine help in the aid of law and justice. They are exposed to rare aspects of forensic medicine through debates/ conferences and are encouraged to apply their knowledge of sciences to the human body. The faculty is also regularly exposed to the international scene of forensic medicine and present related papers at regional and national level conferences.

Mock court

The department has prepared an advanced mock court facility. At this facility, the Forensic Medicine students are exposed to real-time scenarios, which help them familiarize with the court atmosphere & functioning and the art of open debate. The facility also enables students to tackle various medico-legal cases in clinical forensic medicine and forensic thanatology.

Laboratories and facilities

The spacious and well-equipped laboratories of Forensic Medicine are as per international standards. All the students have access to X-ray lobbies, illumination lamps and microscopes for the purpose of investigating forensic trace evidences.

The laboratory is equipped with a stock of over 50 individuals’ X-ray images that help in teaching students about estimation of age from ossification. In addition, the laboratory has approximately 15 teeth moulds and ortho pantamographic photos to aid students about age estimation by dentition. A large collection of bones is also available in the laboratory to make students understand the various aspects of forensic sciences including.

Virtual museum

The virtual museum of the Department of Forensic Medicine is one-of-a-kind. This facility is highly appreciated for its collection of forensic photographs, wet specimens, well-preserved species, chemical and plant poisons, weapons of assault and various sport and industrial as well as domestic implements.

Community Medicine

The Department of Community Medicine deals with the health of population. It is a branch of medicine that endeavors to guard the well-being of the community through primary health care approach.

The department measures the health needs of populations and suitable strategies are prepared in order to improve community health status through health promotion, disease prevention and health protection. The primary care Physicians would be an effective leader with the ability to identify, prioritize and manage the health problems of the community. Community health centers

A state of the art rural training center in Pilkhuwa, spread over five acres, showcases a primary healthcare service delivery model in a population of 15,000. This is an excellent learning medium for undergraduate medical students. The urban health center in Dhaulana covers a population of 20,000. As part of community orientation program, the students are periodically taken for visits to public health institutions (Govt and Private/ industrial).

The students of Community Medicine are facilitated with a learning laboratory. The students of the Department of Pharmacology have the advantage of fully equipped laboratories for availing the resources for practical training in clinical pharmacology, experimental pharmacology and pharmacy. Furthermore, the clinical pharmacology unit aids students with practical training in bedside diagnosis as well as its treatment. All the research laboratories are equipped with a colorimeter, a flame photometer, physiographs, a pH meter and a kymograph.

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is linked to aim at enabling the person to reachand maintain their optimal physical, sensory, intellectual, psychological and social functional levels.

The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department offers several services to patients having cervical pain , slip disc ,backache, knee pain, shoulder pain , tennis elbow , carpal tunnel syndrome, ankle pain, hip pain , headache, heel pain, frozen shoulder ,sports injuries, arthritis, post herpetic neuralgia, diabetic foot , diabetic neuropathy, facial pain, facial palsy and rehabilitation of stroke , cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries problems. Also, physicians of the department work in the way of multidisciplinary team. These staff members perform pulmonary & cardiovascular rehabilitation in IPD patients in various departments and ICUs. Services provided such as interventional pain procedures nerve blocks and joints, Regenerative medicine such as platelets rich plasma and dextrose prolotherapy and Botox injections.

Microbiology

The Department of Microbiology offers diagnostic services including Mycobacteriology, bacteriology, Mycology, Virology, Immunology, Serology, Parasitology and Medical Entomology.

The microbiology field provides aspiring students with the foundation in the diagnosis and management of diseases. Highly advanced, the department helps in teaching and diagnosing most of the infectious diseases prevalent in the society. Respiratory Medicine

The physicians at Respiratory Medicine department prevent, detect beforehand, diagnose and treat pulmonary diseases in adults, adolescents as well as children.

Dermatology

The Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy department offers clinical services for patients suffering from sexually transmitted diseases, leprosy and dermatological problems.

The physicians at the department focus on cosmetic & dermatologic surgery, photo dermatology and contact dermatitis.

The everyday surgical procedures carried through in the department comprise cryotherapy (for treating benign skin tumours such as keloids and warts), electrodessication and biopsies to diagnose skin diseases. By and large, the physicians of the department do regular chemical peeling on an outpatient basis.
